Third order motions are a class of poi tricks that date back more than a decade and represent the culmination of many of the concepts behind poi flowers as well as linear extensions. The most well-known variety, Zan’s Diamond, is a mainstay of the tech poi world and a rite of passage for many getting into the world of advanced poi patterns. In today’s video I’ll take you through the definition of the term, the history of the tricks it describes, and show you some of the many tricks that are possible with them!
